Matt R. Low, B.A., LL.B. Legal Counsel

Matt grew up in a small northern B.C. town called Burns Lake, the “Colorful Heart of the Lakes District”.

After obtaining his law degree at the University of British Columbia, he completed his articles with a prominent criminal defence and personal injury law firm in downtown Vancouver. Most of his articles were spent working with the criminal defence team on the Robert William Pickton team.  In his first year of practice, he worked as an agent for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada prosecuting narcotics and fisheries offences in Surrey provincial court, one of the busiest court houses in B.C.

In 2009, Matt and his wife Lisa (whom he met in  law school) moved to the Comox Valley, Lisa’s hometown. Lisa is a graduate of Highland Secondary and her dad served at CFB Comox for many years before retiring.

Matt has volunteered as a board member for Lush Valley and Abbeyfield Society.  He is a long time volunteer with Access Pro Bono B.C. and is currently a member of the Comox Valley bar executive.  He is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Trial Lawyers Association of B.C.

In his free time, Matt enjoys coaching his son’s competitive soccer team, spending time with his family in the supernatural Comox Valley and raising chickens.
